Responsibilities
- Implementing software solutions that meet the requirements outlined by the company’s clients or stakeholders. This involves understanding the business objectives behind the project and translating them into functional software.
- Need to follow these standards when writing code to ensure it aligns with the open source platform’s best practices.
- Need to work closely with other team members, including project managers, designers, testers, and other developers. Effective communication and collaboration are essential for ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals.
- Responsible for completing their assigned tasks within the specified deadlines. This requires effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks based on their importance and urgency.
- Responsible for writing high-quality code that is well-documented, efficient, and easy to maintain. This involves adhering to coding standards, writing automated tests, and conducting code reviews to ensure code quality.
- Need to be mindful of security best practices and incorporate security measures into their code to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.
- After the initial development phase, developers may be involved in providing ongoing support and maintenance for the software. This can involve fixing bugs, addressing user feedback, and implementing updates or enhancements.
- Should optimize front-end code to improve the performance and load times of the application. Must involve minimizing file sizes, reducing the number of HTTP requests, and implementing caching strategies to enhance performance.
- Ensure that the application is compatible with various web browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. This involves testing the application on different browsers and addressing any compatibility issues that arise.
- Should document the front-end codebase, including comments within the code and external documentation describing the structure and functionality of the front-end components.
- Must have knowledge of Prestashop and Oscommerce Platform.
